Well, my name is Tyler, I'm a really big nerd. I love music, and I play keyboards in a band called Dressed to Kill, and guitar in a band called The Phantom Tollbooth. That's about it. :]

Castle Quest

"Somehow,"

submission: Castle Quest
date: August 29, 2009

This kept me entertained for about an hour,
even though it was really repetitive.
I liked the skill upgrade mechanics,
for once I could actually see a phsyical difference in what I spent my skill points on upgrading.
The graphics were really nice, very detailed.
The SFX kind of got annoying, everytime you hit something, it would make the same noise.
The only really big problem, was the bosses were way harder than you'd expect, they weren't hard if you spent a couple minutes grinding on enemies before you got to the boss. The levels were way too easy, but the bosses really contrasted.. Because they were way harder than I expected when I finally got to them.

It's a pretty good game, not really any replay value, even with the other character, same game, but different skills pretty much.

"Near perfect."

submission: -Stick War-
date: August 26, 2009

That doesn't mean it isn't deserving of a perfect 10..
I will say that the elements implied in this game are very well things I'd like to see in these kinds of games.
The fact you could control your army, and your warriors was very original. And the upgrade system works well too.
The music just added to the game, and the story was pretty good, it was neat to get a briefing of what you're about to encounter, not just random battles that all feel the same..
Every battle felt different and required a somewhat new strategy.

Very well done,
a sequel to this game must happen.
Just don't fuck it up like most sequals end up doing.
Keep true to this formula.

I'd only take time to review good games..
But I'm feeling adventurous,
so, you guessed it!
I'm reviewing this game.

The negative aspects to positive aspects iratio is just stunning:
-Slow pace.
-no story, no development whatsoever, as soon as you hit start, you're in the game.. Which is fine, but the game sucks anyways so it's pointless.
-The Pelican is way to fucking big, it's like trying to squeeze a fat person into a shopping cart.
-You can't aim, the missles are just way to laggy, so you can barely ever hit anyone.
-There's no music, so it just makes it that much more un-enjoyable.
-The graphics are good, but then again, you just got sprites from Spriters Resource or something and programmed them likewise, it would have been better if they were handdrawn, but seeing this game makes me doubt you have any sort of artistic talent.
-I don't care if this is your first game, or second game, of fucking five-millionth game, you should have some sense in you to polish your games before sending them into Newgrounds.
-I seriously could only play the game for about 30 seconds before I just made myself die to end it. (It's a wonder I even made it that far..)
-There's no point in going faster, if there's no point, you don't get to the end of this shitty game any faster, which I thought would work, but it didn't, so this game gets a big fat 0 for having NO FUCKING END. (Along with all the other said problems)

My only constructive critisism is to...
Well,
make better games.

"This game..."

submission: Sonny 2

Is beautiful.
I've been playing it for 5 hours today,
it's really rare that I actually want to take my time playing flash games, but this game wastes my time in the best way possible.

Amazing graphics,
amazing SFX/ music,
amazing depth,
amazing storyline,
and the fact you can actually see the armor and and weapons that you equipt is just another spice added to make this a very tasteful game.

If this game was a woman,
I would boink her everyday forever.
And if living forever is impossible, then I will make it possible just for the sake of my damn analogy.

Awesome work.

"Intresting idea,"

submission: iPumpkin
date: July 21, 2009

too bad it fell short.
The graphics are okayy,
the music is okayy,

what it lacked was really good gameplay, and the levels were easy, and un-original.
Once I figured out what to do, I died about 5 times from level 2 to level 30.

I like the idea of it...
the draw-your-own-path games catch my attention, but not very many seem to actually be good.

It's one of those things that sounds better in the description, and you imagine how awesome it must be, only too find it really isn't executed like you thought it would have.

If all else fails,
just put a bunch of boobs in your games,
and say that it has a bunch of boobs in your description, that will attract most of Newgrounds members.
Haha.

Body Ladder

"Okay,"

submission: Body Ladder

This is a really fun, sligthly unique game.
I found myself playing for close to an hour.
The only problems are,
the music needs to be optional.. It's good music, and it's catchy, but some people would rather listen to their own.
It's a little too laggy, maybe just on my piece of shit computer, but whatever.
It needs more than 4 weapons, after I got the gun, there was nothing to look forward too.

But the main problem...
Is the FUCKING AD in the bottom right of the screen, that I just CANNOT stop from accidentally clicking on, thus freezing my screen for a bit, to load a new window, and taking damage or dying, I've gotten really far in the game, but had to shoot an enemy in the bottom right corner, and forgot about the ad, clicked on the ad and died.

I think we all know what fuckin site it's on, it says in the author & file information section, if we were all intrested, we would go look, but Newgrounds is a much better source for flash material than Mofunzone.
How much advertising do you need?
The preloader has it, the main menu has it with an extra link to the site, and IN the actual game it has it aswell.

It would get a fucking 5/5 stars and 10/10 if you didn't have to be an advertising nazi..

"Fun simple game..."

submission: -Red-
date: July 7, 2009

There isn't really much negatives to it, for what it's worth.
Just a simple straight forward game, with emphasis on good physics.

My best time was 544 seconds, I don't know if that's exceptional, or not, but the fact of the matter is that it's an easy to just pick up and play,
or rather,
sit and wait for it to load, then click play, and play.

It wasn't the best game I ever played, but it really killed a lot of time trying to get the best score I could.

For the catious people who read reviews before they actually play the game,
this is a good game, so play it!

The Arrow Of Time

"Wow."

submission: The Arrow Of Time
date: July 4, 2009

The game looks beautiful.
exceptional graphics.

The music draws me in,
I like how it doesn't just blare some random techno song out of my JBL series speakers.
It's all classical themed,
I really like that.

It's original for a castle defense game.
I like how you can customize your arsenal, and combine different types of arrows.

I got bored with it after a while, because it was just the same concept every chapter,
but it deserves credit for how amazing it looks and sounds and plays.

Four Second Frenzy

"Uhh,"

submission: Four Second Frenzy
date: July 4, 2009

Okay, so, I don't really understand how it got all these 10/10 5/5 ratings.

The concept is awesome, I like that, and I like the exectution of it.
It reminds me a lot of Wario Ware, but it falls short because most of the games don't really look nice.
And some of them are barely playable.

Quality over quantity.
It's still fun to play,
It's just lack-luster in some categories.
:p

Knights of Rock

"Hmm."

submission: Knights of Rock
date: July 4, 2009

I really liked the concept of putting a twist to the rythm games.
everything that's going on is synchronized with the music.

Well, not so much the music, but with the arrows you push, and the timing.

Oh, you know what I mean..
All in all, it's just a small little minigame.
It could have had more songs, and been a lot longer.
Though if it was any longer, my eyes would start to hurt.
I.E. It hurt my eyes from watching the arrows move across the screen, while I was seeing shit moving around everywhere else.

Neat idea, could have been better executed though.
